The Department of Spanish and Portuguese in the Faculty of Modern and Medieval Languages at the University of Cambridge is seeking to appoint a full-time Language Teaching Officer in Portuguese beginning 1 September 2014.
The successful candidate will be a suitably qualified native or near-native speaker of Portuguese with a good honours degree or equivalent in a languages-related subject and an excellent command of English. He or she will be expected to hold a specific language-teaching qualification and to have experience teaching in higher education. Familiarity with the use of new technologies in relation to language teaching and learning is essential. The successful candidate will be responsible for the teaching, coordination and examination of the Portuguese language at all levels, and will be expected to carry out related administrative duties.
