2014 marks the beginning of the commemorative ceremonies of the 100th anniversary of World War I, which will take place around the world, and particularly in Europe, between 2014 and 2018. The Department of English and North-American Studies of the University of Minho has, thus, joined the commemorations by choosing the Great War, and the representation of war in literature and the arts, as the theme of its annual Open Day. We invite all our students and the entire academy to participate in our Annual Open Day.
